US-Canada Border Crossings — Live Truck Wait Times

Directory of every major commercial truck crossing between Canada and the US. Wait times pulled from CBP and CBSA every 15 minutes.

Use this directory to plan your crossing before you leave the yard. Each crossing links to a detail page with live wait times for both directions, peak-hour patterns, CBP and CBSA port codes, FAST lane availability, and filing requirements specific to that port. File your ACE or ACI eManifest at least one hour before you arrive at the border.

How to use this directory

1. Pick the lightest crossing on your route

Sort the table or scan the wait-time columns. If your primary crossing is backed up, check the next nearest crossing's detail page for a faster alternative.

2. File your eManifest ≥ 1 hour out

File ACE (US-bound) or ACI (CA-bound) before you arrive. BorderPro fills in the right port code automatically when you select a crossing.

3. Use FAST lanes when available

FAST-marked crossings have dedicated lanes for pre-approved carriers and drivers. See the FAST card guide for application details.

4. Carry your PARS or PAPS lead sheet

Drivers need the right barcode for the direction of travel. BorderPro generates compliant PARS/PAPS barcodes in one click.

Frequently asked questions

How many commercial truck crossings are between Canada and the US?

There are over a hundred land border ports of entry along the Canada-US border, but a much smaller number handle the majority of commercial truck volume. This directory covers the highest-volume commercial corridors where most cross-border freight moves.

Which Canada-US crossing has the shortest truck wait time right now?

Live wait times for every major crossing are shown in the table above and update every 15 minutes. Conditions change quickly, but as a general pattern, less-trafficked crossings move faster than the Ontario-Michigan and Ontario-New York high-volume bridges during weekday business hours.

Do all crossings have FAST lanes for pre-approved carriers?

No. FAST lanes are only available at a subset of commercial ports — typically the higher-volume crossings. The FAST column above shows which ports support them. See the FAST card guide for program details.

Why do some crossings show a dash instead of a wait time?

A dash means BorderPro has no recent data for that direction — usually because the official CBP or CBSA feed has not reported in the last polling window, or commercial lanes are temporarily closed (overnight closures, holidays, or staffing). Check the crossing's detail page for the most recent timestamp.

What's required to file before crossing with a commercial truck?

US-bound trucks need an ACE eManifest filed at least one hour before arrival. CA-bound trucks need an ACI eManifest filed one hour before arrival. Drivers should also carry the appropriate PARS or PAPS lead sheet, commercial invoice, and any commodity-specific permits.
