A Warehouse Arrival Certification Message (WACM) is an electronic notification that a licensed sufferance warehouse must transmit to CBSA when an in-bond shipment arrives at its facility. It confirms that the cargo reported on the in-transit document has arrived and is under the warehouse's custody and control.
A WACM is required any time an in-bond or in-transit shipment arrives at a CBSA-licensed sufferance warehouse. The warehouse must submit the WACM to CBSA within the required timeframe after the carrier delivers the cargo. Failure to submit accurately and on time can result in regulatory penalties.
CBSA typically acknowledges WACM submissions within minutes of receipt. TruckerPro displays the CBSA acknowledgment status in real time and sends an email notification to designated contacts as soon as confirmation arrives.
TruckerPro links WACM submissions directly to the ACI eManifest cargo records already in your account. Cargo Control Numbers (CCNs) from accepted ACI manifests are referenced in the WACM automatically — eliminating the need to re-enter data and ensuring the cargo chain of custody is complete and traceable.
